Zion National Park Accommodations, Hotels, Vacation Rentals & Lodging
What an amazing experience! I hiked up to Angel’s Landing on my 37th birthday, in honor of my dad that passed when he was 37. In honor of all gone too soon!
Angel’s Landing is located in Zion National Park and is a 5,790 foot fin standing in Zion Canyon. The top is reached by hiking 2.5 miles, gaining nearly 1,500 feet in elevation. The last half mile is on the ridge of the fin, with sheer drops on either side. It’s gorgeous, but not to be underestimated!
People have lost their lives here…experienced people as well. If you go… be careful, take your time, and know your limits! Avoid hiking the last part in the rain or snow. The two-way traffic becomes a huge hazard as well! I experienced that on the way down. I do not encourage children to hike the last part. I’m positive some are capable, but accidents happen and it’s not worth risking their lives. (They too have been part of the unfortunate here). That being said…enjoy the video and be safe! Thank you! Be Awesellentastic!
