Zion National Park Accommodations, Hotels, Vacation Rentals & Lodging

Sheeps Bridge is a local swimming hole near Zion National Park. Zion National Park is very hot in the summer with average temperatures above 100 degree F. This swimming hole near Zion is a 20 minute drive from Springdale which is at the mouth of Zion Canyon. The Virgin River may not look like much of a river to those who live by big rivers, but this river is responsible for shaping Zion Canyon. The river does flood often when it rains. Please check t he weather before going to Sheeps Bridge. Also before you jump off cliffs always check the depth of water as floods move logs, boulders and other objects which could make cliff jumping dangerous. After a flood the water of the Virgin River can be very muddy so please be safe when swimming here.

Camping is NOT allowed at Sheeps Bridge however this is BLM land and there is plenty of free camping nearby. Here is a link to another video I made on camping in this area.
