Zion National Park Accommodations, Hotels, Vacation Rentals & Lodging

The Kolob Terrace Road is a seemingly little known road that rolls and twists through Zion National Park along it’s western boundary.
There are several trail heads along the route that afford access to the park wilderness.

The road runs from Virgin, Co located on Hwy 9 at its southern end and heads north for 48 miles where it intersects Hwy 12 just west of Cedar Breaks National Monument. The road turns gravel at the Kolob Reservoir which is about half way.

Brian and I ride the Kolob Terrace Road beginning in Virgin and head north to the Kolob reservoir where we encounter threatening weather and decide to turn around and head back to Hwy 9 where we travel through the park eastbound which is covered in Zion Part 2.
