🚙 Drive America’s Highways south through the Petrified Forest National Park. In collaboration with DietrichDuke.com, this segment features views from the visitors center south to Blue Mesa. Sights include Tiponi and Whipple Point as well as the Painted Desert Inn.

You can take the return trip (with different stops) at http://i411.cf/36ei8

Unlike our normal videos, we really wanted to share the beauty of this park so we included some pano of each of the sites we stop at.

We also kept this video in real time, so its a bit longer than our standard videos. There is a soundtrack to this video, but it’s very soft, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t hear anything right away.

Here’s the drive into, and out of, Zion National Park on a sunny, blue, winter day. This video includes something special: an extra angle from a camera looking up!

I made this trip in late January 2017. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras – one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).

And in this video, I used a third camera, a Brinno TLC-120, mounted on the windshield, looking up.

I was fortunate enough to visit Zion National Park during some very snowy days in late January 2017. This was my first full day in the park, and I got to see some pretty significant snowfall throughout the day — with a good bit falling on the higher-elevation east side of the park, along Utah Route 9. This drive takes you out to the end of the park on the East side, then back into the canyon.
