While traveling to teach at a skills gathering, I stopped in for a family visit and when my dad’s wife mentioned seeing Condors on a particular hike in Zion National Park, I knew I needed to do it. We were up well before the sun to beat the tourists, which were few and far between as it was well below freezing when we started our hike. The day was perfect and clear, and the hike magnificent, wildlife viewing aside. As it turned out, the sun came out and warmed the cliff sides just enough for some lovely thermals. You’ll have to watch the video to see what they brought out! (wink, wink)

I let the scenery speak for itself on this one. Needing a quick Zion fix, I spent a cold morning in late January visiting this water fall. The hike is easy and family friendly, some trail and some creek walking…you could spend one hour or half a day. Enjoy!

The next stop on our USA road trip series is Zion National Park, Utah. Zion is one of America’s most visited National Parks, and arguably one of the most beautiful.
In this travel vlog we get to experience the world-famous nature and wildlife this park has to offer and try a few of the hiking stops along the Zion shuttle bus route.
During our day, we got to see some beautiful autumn colours around the park and spotted some of Zion’s wildlife, including a number of different birds as well as some cute but very chubby squirrels. We even managed to get up close to a male deer (stag/buck) wandering down the same path as us.
We ended our day with a sunset hike to a beautiful viewpoint overlooking Zion National Park.

In 2017 we left home with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a sustainable travel lifestyle happen! We are now living our dream as digital nomads and want to inspire you to create your own story, whatever it may be!

After 5 years of aimless, yet enjoyable, backpacking around the world we found ourselves in New York City battling with depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on. After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle.

Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!

Observation Point (O.P.) is the highest hike at Zion – you go up 2148 feet. It’s an 8 hour hike – 4 miles up then back the same route and you pass Hidden Canyon (H.C.) which is just half hour off the initial first half hour or so of switch backs. H.C.’s ledge is at the end of this video after we summit O.P. While the switchback paths to O.P. are wider than the exposed H.C. ledge, you’re twice as high up and I found the hike to O.P. scarier than Angel’s Landing or H.C. Footage is a mix from an ipod touch 4th generation (that I delicately positioned a 4x wide angle lens over the camera that I picked up off of ebay for $13 that captured a much wider field of vision like a GoPro without requiring all the extra hard drive space that GoPro footage requires), an HD CMOS Canon camcorder, and a Panasonic Lumix camera.
