Zion National Park Accommodations, Hotels, Vacation Rentals & Lodging

On the border of Utah and Arizona is Wire Pass Trailhead that leads to Buckskin Gulch, probably the world’s longest slot canyon at over 20 miles. This is the first slot canyon I’ve ever been to. Not as picturesque as Antelope Canyon in Arizona but still really cool to see. And it’s on the way to White Pocket so you can see both places in one day.

Hmmmm… Actually Buckskin Gulch is just a little further East. As per the video you did not arrive to the junction, so technically still in Wire Pass trail. Once you are in Buckskin is when the real slot canyon adventure/beauty starts. It is huge! There is a bypass trail for avoiding the drop off if anyone does not feel comfortable sliding down or using whatever previous hikers have put there. In our case a metal ladder 😅 For more info let's see if I can post the link that I have just uploaded… https://hkoutdooradventures.com/2019/10/22/utah-canyons/

Did you check out the petroglyphs at the end of Wire Pass? Right near where it meets up with Buckskin Gulch on the right hand side…I think right after where you went rock climbing.

The landscape looks so similar to Namibia – it brings back memories! A 2 mile hike would be difficult for me, haha! I seriously need to get fitter 🙈The canyon looks stunning! I definitely need to do some exploring of America.
