Zion National Park Accommodations, Hotels, Vacation Rentals & Lodging

Our trip to Zion National Park back in September ends with day three where we get some great opportunities for Milky Way Photography and Star Trails over The Overlook inside Zion National Park and at a virtually unknown area just on the edge of the park called Hoodoo City. We also have a really fun hike through Kanarra Creek to the photogenic waterfall and ladder known to many Landscape photographers.

Thinking the hike to Kanarra Creek Falls was going to be just a little over a mile and pretty easy going, Aaron carries his tripod and camera just loosely on his shoulder and quickly regrets it as the hike is up and down and crosses the creek many times. The challenge to stay as dry as possible without dying from a slip on the rocks would have been so much easier with his camera in his bag.

Brendon makes a Milky Way shot from The Overlook actually work from just an okay image and salvages a Car Light Trail image that gets sabotaged by the Police who stop traffic going one direction and sit there in one spot causing a great bloom on one side of his trail. But it still makes for an interesting image!

Thanks for watching and see you next Friday!

I'm going to Utah and will be in that area this week. I wanted to find a nice place to pull over and watch the stars for a bit while remaining in my vehicle. Any good suggestions of places?

Hi guys! Question, I'm going to Zion this fall and I'm planning to do a sunrise shoot at the canyon overlook or a sunset/astrophotography shoot. What's your take on that? Maybe both? Or stick to one?

Nice shots, guys! Your star trail Aaron is perfect and I like the moonlight bluing up the sky before illuminating the foreground on your timelapse, Brendon! Beautiful shots in Kanarra Creek as well!

Haha, "to a normal size man". Priceless commentary in this video! Well done, guys. Kanarra Creek looks awesome! So does Hoodoo City. Heck, it all looks pretty cool. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
