Wactchman cam psite is very good for tenting if you get in. I got in on May 7 th timeframe (already booked solid) but got lucky as there were two no-shows and I took a site. Very good and convenient to everything. Near the Sourh Gate…. short hike trails nearby… petroglyph trail across the road. Neat.
You are correct on shuttles in the park. I got in line early to get to Angels Landing early as recommended. Also, the shuttle from bottom to top (Narrows Trail area) is about 40 minutes of great scenery… and that RIVER IS FANTASTIC.

Hi Christine, how many days would you recommend at Zion? My partner and I are traveling from AU around April 2020 (#90daysinUSA) & I was thinking a week in Zion (& surrounds). Watchman camp ground. Bathroom/showers facilities?
Have you ever done Angel's Landing? My partner is keen… I'm worried
Thx for your tips too (Ie. Water shoes)
    Tia Keep hiking 🤘

Ppl need to understand the dangers! Zion locations with most deaths as of 2014; Angels Landing: 12 The Narrows: 9 The Tunnel: 8.
These tragic and sometimes horrific events have been published in a book titled “Deaths and Rescues in Zion.” Educate yourself before you go, be prepared and don't die or get hurt there.

Avoid the summer months and it’s fantastic… I go twice a year April and October. Be careful of Monsoon season, July through late September. Flash Floods are no joke in narrow (slot) canyons. You can rent neoprene (waterproof) footwear at a number of outfitters near the park entrance in Springdale, UT. If your in good physical shape and adventurous then this is hiker heaven. Check out the following hikes, The Subway (permit required), Canyon Overlook, Observation Point, Hidden Canyon, Angels Landing, Emerald Pools, Kolob Canyon, The Narrows, West Rim Trail, Weeping Rock.

Not sure if u can tell me but any recommendations on my 6 day trip next month in April 2018 would be most appreciated! I’m flying into Vegas and my highest priority is to visit Grand Canyon but most ppl say the average visitor to GC spends 3-5hrs there. At most I figured I’d visit a full day and leave to Zion next for one full day. Is 1 day sufficient to get the Zion experience? My high priority for Zion is to at least do the Angels landing hike. Not sure if there is much other exciting things to do or see more popular than that. If so I’ll stay longer. If not I’ll either head out to Sedona, Paige or Bryce. Just trying to get the most bang for my buck and still enjoy. Honestly I’d prefer whatever is less wear and tear but will still be worth the drive. Any advice would be suuuuper appreciated! Thx for this awesome and insightful video!

    killer vlog

Do you plan yo go to Arches NP in Utah? or Dinosaur or the Tetons?
My brother lives in Colorado and we have been to some great Parks but things like camp hosts, and reservations/permits may be an unwelcome surprise (trip ender) if you are not aware..
    Great information on this channel
